# Introdución á programación

A **programación** é o proceso de escribir un conxunto de instrucións que permiten a un ordenador realizar unha tarefa ou resolver un problema. As instrucións do programa escríbense nunha linguaxe de programación específica e chámanse **código fonte**.

Unha **linguaxe de programación** é unha linguaxe formal e completa que inclúe unha serie de regras léxicas, sintácticas e semánticas, que van permitir a tradución de estas instrucións a linguaxe máquina.

Os **compiladores** e **intérpretes** son aplicacións que se encargan de realizar a tradución do código fonte a código máquina, para o que validan que elementos como variables, palabras reservadas ou tipos de datos sexa correctos (Regras Léxicas), estean correctamente combinados (Regras Sintácticas) e teñen un significado (Regras Semánticas).
