# Constantes

En Java, unha **constante** é un valor que **non pode ser alterado despois de que foi asignado**. As constantes son útiles para representar valores que non deben cambiar durante a execución do programa, como parámetros de configuración, límites, ou outros valores fixos.

Para declarar unha constante en Java, utilizamos a palabra clave `final` antes do tipo de dato. Isto indica que a variable non se lle pode volver asignar un valor unha vez que se lle asigna un valor.

final int MAX_IMAXE = 1024; // 'MAX_IMAXE' é unha constante
```

É común **utilizar nomes en maiúsculas para as constantes**, separando as palabras co subliñado (`_`). Isto axuda a diferenciar as constantes das variables que poden cambiar.

final double PI = 3.14159; // Constante para o valor de PI
```
